Collective Worship

COLLECTIVE WORSHIP

In school we have a daily act of collective worship. These are broadly Christian in character, but take themes and stories from literature, poetry, the bible and other religious cultures and sources.

Assemblies include class assemblies (led by the children) and ‘singing’ assemblies.

On Wednesdays we hold a special Celebration assembly where we celebrate ‘Star of the Week’ from each class we also thank our play ground helpers (red-hats), celebrate the children’s birthdays and acknowledge children’s special achievements out of school.

RIGHT TO WITHDRAW

Any parent has a right to withdraw their child from Religious Education and / or collective worship on religious grounds and may do so by putting their reasons in a letter to the chair of governors.
