Collective Worship

COLLECTIVE WORSHIP

In school we have a daily act of collective worship. These take themes and stories from literature, poetry, the bible and other religious cultures and sources.

Assemblies include Headteacher and Deputy Head assemblies, class assemblies (led by the children) and ‘singing’ assemblies.

Once a week we hold a special Celebration assembly where we celebrate ‘Star of the Week’ from each class and acknowledge children’s special achievements out of school.

RIGHT TO WITHDRAW

Any parent has a right to withdraw their child from Religious Education and / or collective worship on religious grounds and may do so by putting their reasons in a letter to the chair of governors.
