Year R Home Learning
Thank you so much for your support and engagement with home learning. We have been pleased to hear that you are finding our blended approach of paper packs, online videos and Tapestry activities useful in supporting the delivery of the curriculum at home. As a school; we are so proud of all our children and how they have embraced learning so positively in different ways; thank you for supporting this.
The weekly planner will be uploaded each week in this section. Learning videos and tasks will also be shared on Tapestry. We have also prepared a printed paper pack that can be collected from outside our reception. This blended approach will ensure that your child has access to a range of age-related activities, covering the seven areas of learning in the Early Years Curriculum. It is important to continue to provide opportunities for your child to play, explore and learn through their own ideas and interests, as they would during a typical day in the classroom.
We continue to recognise that everyone is embracing different lockdown experiences. Rest assured you are doing a fantastic job! As you continue to balance work, parenting, schooling and the emotional wellbeing of your family, please continue to be kind to yourself! Remember to use the learning opportunities provided to develop a home learning schedule that suits you as a family. Mental health and wellbeing continues to be of upmost priority and therefore we would encourage you to adjust routines as you see fit. We have put together a suggested remote learning timetable to provide some support on how you could structure a typical week. Please feel free to use this or create your own that suits the needs of your family. You may find it useful to schedule in your child's weekly Zoom session with their class teacher.
