Welcome to Hiltingbury Infant School. I am delighted to welcome you to our school community. At Hiltingbury Infant School, children, staff, parents, governors and the wider community work together to ensure that every child belongs, explores and grows.

At the heart of our school is a commitment to creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, respected and celebrated as an individual. We believe that children thrive when they feel a genuine sense of belonging and are supported by strong relationships built on kindness, trust and empathy. Our aim is for every child to feel happy, secure and confident to be themselves.

We are passionate about providing children with the very best start to their educational journey. Through our stimulating and creative curriculum, rooted in outstanding Early Years provision, we inspire curiosity and encourage children to explore the world around them. We want our children to ask questions, think deeply, discover new interests and develop a lifelong love of learning. By providing rich and engaging experiences, we encourage children to be creative, adventurous and excited by the possibilities that learning brings.

Alongside this, we support every child to grow into a confident, resilient and independent learner. We recognise and celebrate progress in all its forms, helping children to develop their own voice, embrace challenges and take pride in their achievements. By building on what children already know, understand and can do, we empower them to become successful learners who are well prepared for the next stage of their education and beyond.

Children are at the heart of everything we do at Hiltingbury Infant School. We believe that the strongest outcomes are achieved when school and home work together in partnership to support every child to belong, explore and grow. We value the relationships we build with parents and carers and provide many opportunities for them to be involved in their child's learning and in the life of the school.
