Headteacher Update

Headteacher Update

We finished our week with a wonderful Harvest assembly today with the whole school. This was Year Rs first assembly and they were amazing at listening and joining in! Year R performed ‘Big Red Combine Harvester’ whilst Year 1 sung their hearts out singing ‘Cauliflowers Fluffy’ and Year two shared a Harvest poem. We were very lucky to have volunteers from Eastleigh Basics Bank join our assembly and share the positive difference all our donations make. They were very grateful for the kindness and generosity shared from our school community. We finished our assembly with a reflection and singing the ‘Harvest Samba’ together.

You will have seen the communication earlier this week explaining the Empowerment Approach workshop with Kit Messenger is now face to face and at 5.15pm at the junior school on Thursday 15th October. All are welcome and we are providing free childcare for this session in our wraparound Hiltingbury Hangouts Club - please use the link to book an after school club place if needed https://forms.cloud.microsoft/e/Vk7g3Gr6wz

Walktober

Walktober

Travelling actively and sustainably can make a difference to our wellbeing, our community and our planet. It helps us stay healthy, reduces traffic around our school and lowers air pollution. That’s why our school is taking part in Walktober and encouraging pupils, families and staff to walk, wheel, cycle, scoot, use Park and Stride or travel by public transport more often. Throughout October, everyone in our school community can take part in Top Tips, More Trips. Pupils who enter have the chance to win some fantastic prizes, and every eligible entry, whether from pupils, staff, parents or carers, will support our school’s chances of winning the Walktober school competition too.
