Welcome to Hiltingbury Infant School!
We are really looking forward to you and your child joining us in September where we will begin our partnership with you as your child starts their school journey. We already have an excellent partnership with all our families as well as our local and wider community and would like to extend this warm welcome to all of our new families.

Hiltingbury Infants' is an outstanding school where children thrive through our broad and balanced curriculum, learner for life skills and shared vision of 'learning, caring and achieving together'. 

Please find some important information below that will help to support the transition into school for your child.

Home Visits

Home visits will take place between 3rd and 7th September and a time will have been provided to you at one of the settling in sessions in July. If you have not received a time for your visit please contact the school office.

Starting school

Tuesday 8th September - Your child will attend school for half a day. Children born between September and February will attend the morning session from 8.45am to 11.45am and children born between March and August will attend the afternoon session from 12.10pm to 15.10pm.


Wednesday 9th September – from this date there is the option for your child to start full time. We recognise that for some children a part-time option may suit your child’s needs better. We can personalise this to suit your child's/family needs which can be discussed at home visits. From Monday 21st September we expect all children to be full time.
