Newsletter - 18th September
Message from Mrs Longman
It was wonderful welcoming Year 1 & 2 parents & carers into the classrooms this week after school to see classrooms and have a chance to find out a little bit more about the new year group. If you have any further unanswered questions please do chat to the class teacher at the end of the day or send an email to the admin office where this can be passed onto the relevant member of staff. Please do not use Seesaw as a communication method with the class teachers as this is for sharing learning.
Year R have settled really well into their new classes and are enjoying getting to know the school and its grounds. The older children have helped them at lunchtimes, which is a very busy time of the day! It’s been lovely seeing the care shown, helping all children to feel they belong.
Arbor Contact Details
We have asked that all parents have ensured they have updated their Arbor details with at least two contacts. Can we also request that all new Year R intake have entered their first language and details of at least two contacts onto Arbor. This is really important so that we have all the information needed as a school and we have emergency contacts listed if necessary too.
Books
We have had a very big clear out of our library books to ensure we have a great range for children including lots of current relevant books. We have a lot of surplus books that we do not need but are still in good condition. We will be putting these out the front of school over next week when the weather is good, please help yourself to any free books. We would much rather families in our community got to enjoy these at home!
Open Day Tours
We are excited to be welcoming families that are looking for a school space for September 2027 onto one of our open mornings. If you know anyone who is looking for a space please direct them to our school website where they can book onto one of these mornings, which will include a tour of the school, on the following dates:
• Friday 16th October 9.30am
• Monday 19th October 9.30am
• Tuesday 10th November 9.30am
• Thursday 12th November 9.30am

Nut Free School Reminder
We have found some almonds in our outside area by Year 1 & 2 classrooms. Please can we remind everyone we are a nut free site and children/adults must not be eating any kinds of nuts as they enter/leave school grounds.
Labelling Clothes
Please can you ensure everything is named, particularly jumpers and coats as these are taken off daily. We are already finding many things unnamed and this will mean they may not make it back to you!
Governors
We have sent out information this week about our parent governor vacancy. This is a great opportunity to get involved with the school further and give some time back to the community. Please do make contact if you would like to find out more before applying.
