TRANSITION FROM PRE-SCHOOLS

We are proud to work closely with more than 25 feeder pre-schools and early years settings to ensure every child enjoys a smooth, positive, and happy transition into our school. Strong communication and partnership with pre-school staff, parents, and carers are at the heart of our approach.

 Through visits, information sharing, transition activities, and regular collaboration, we build a clear understanding of each child's individual needs, interests, and strengths before they start with us. By working together, we help children feel confident, secure, and excited about beginning their learning journey, enabling them to settle quickly and thrive from their very first day.

Transition to Juniors

We work in close partnership with our linked Junior School to ensure that the transition from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2 is a positive, seamless, and exciting experience for every child. Through regular collaboration between staff, shared activities, pupil visits, and careful information sharing, we develop a thorough understanding of each child's academic progress, wellbeing, and individual needs.

Our strong partnership enables children to become familiar with their new environment, teachers, and expectations, helping them feel confident, secure, and ready for the next stage of their learning journey. By working together with families and the Junior School, we support every child in experiencing a smooth and happy transition into Key Stage 2.
